General dentistry is the branch of dental arts that focuses on the prevention, detection, and treatment of common oral health problems. Divine Smiles was founded over 36 years ago with the goal of providing comprehensive dental care to people in our area.
Holding true to this aim, our practice continues to offer state-of-the-art general dentistry services to help you maintain a functional and healthy smile for life. Dr. Clancy has achieved the highest academic honor that the Academy of General Dentistry holds its members to Mastership (MAGD). Through his continuing education and dedication to lifelong learning, Dr. Clancy is able to offer comprehensive care to all of his patients.
Our Services
The most common and important general dentistry service we offer is dental hygiene and teeth cleaning visits. During these visits, your teeth and gums are thoroughly examined by one of our experienced dentists and professionally cleaned by one of our dental hygienists. If problems are detected during these visits, prompt treatment can be administered before serious issues arise. Many people benefit from biannual examinations and cleanings, but our dentists will schedule your appointments based on your unique needs. In addition to regularly scheduled visits, we offer general dentistry services such as:
White fillings – Not only do our white fillings offer beautiful results, but they are 100% amalgam-free! We will your teeth with the finest tooth-colored composite material to offer you beautiful, healthy results that last long.
Gum disease detection and treatment – Detecting gum disease at an early stage can help prevent you from losing your teeth down the line. Dr. Clancy can detect your gum disease early and then give you an effective treatment to prevent further damage from occurring.
Porcelain inlays and onlays – Sometimes a dental crown isn’t the most necessary treatment and neither is a dental filling. For situations that rest between a dental filling and a dental crown, we can provide you with inlays and onlays to protect and restore your teeth. These restorations are like partial crowns.
Dental crowns – When your tooth becomes severely damaged, sometimes a dental crown is all you need to restore it back to complete health and function. Dental crowns cover your entire tooth or can even replace a missing tooth when attached to a dental implant.
Root canal – If your tooth becomes severed damaged or a cavity goes untreated, it can result in an infected tooth. Once your tooth becomes infected, a root canal is the only way to save your tooth. We remove the infected pulp and seal your tooth with a dental crown.
Dental bridges – If you don’t replace your missing tooth with a dental implant, a dental bridge is a great alternative. A fixed dental bridge is attached to two of your teeth to give you a secure and beautiful tooth replacement.
Dentures – Today’s modern dentures fit every groove of your mouth to give you a secure tooth replacement option. Dentures are usually covered partially be dental insurance and if not, they’re very cost-effective.
Full mouth reconstruction – If your smile requires a little extra care, a full mouth reconstruction treatment can help you restore all of your teeth at once. Dr. Clancy creates your treatment plan by taking your full mouth into consideration. This results in a good bite and a beautiful, healthy smile.
We also offer emergency dental care for existing patients, but this is not a 24-hour service. If you are facing a true dental or medical emergency, you should call 911 or visit a hospital right away.
